NURE Healthcare, Inc. - MEDICAL DIRECTOR
NURE Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a medical director to provide services in its new lifestyle change and addiction rehabilitation center located in the Caribbean. The Medical Director has a key role in ensuring that the organization’s mission, goals, and values are supported and facilitated by the medical staff. H/she is responsible for overall patient services. In addition, the Medical Director is responsible for the management of the medical staff, as well as clinic-wide coordination of the delivery of professional medical care, facilitation of the medical care review process, and development of the health care plan. H/she oversees and facilitates the assurance that the medical program’s clinical measures are being met. H/she provides direct patient care balanced with .25 administrative responsibilities.
The Medical Director will work closely with the staff and researchers of the university medical team and will report to the Board of NURE as well as be overseen by the head of the university research team.
NURE Healthcare, Inc., (“NURE” or the “Company”) is being established to provide healthcare services through an integrated network of world class facilities in the Caribbean region with corporate offices in the U.S. The Company has established a formal relationship with one of the world’s most recognized universities and will leverage the research and brand of this preeminent institution to serve its patients. NURE has identified its first potential facility in Barbados for the offering of lifestyle change and addiction treatment, and intends to acquire and build additional facilities throughout the Caribbean in the next five years. NURE believes that its evidence based treatment approach, connection to the preeminent research university, availability of highly qualified medical professionals and resort atmosphere of the Caribbean will attract patients from the United States, Canada and Western Europe. The Company will bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and clinical practice and will offer the highest quality evidence-based addiction and lifestyle change services in the world.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
M.D. degree from an accredited School of Medicine and Residency Program required. Board certified in psychiatry or primary care. Currently licensed to practice in the US, UK, or Caribbean. Previous experience should be from an ambulatory clinic, community health center, or hospital setting, as well as previous experience supervising medical providers and affiliated medical support staff, a must.

adapt to the organization’s changing business needs, based on the clinical needs/demand assessment of the geographical target population;

assume and delegate the needs of clinic patients as the lead member of the health care team;

network and advocate for the organization and serve as liaison to local and state professional societies, as well as to health officials, organizations, and health training institutions, as appropriate.
The position will be based in the Caribbean. It is anticipated that the initial location will be Barbados.
As this is a formative stage company with significant global support from the medical university, the applicant should be prepared to work in such a startup environment and must recognize that they will initially comprise a material part of the startup team for launching the operation.
Compensation will be defined with the applicant in this startup phase.

Research Data Analyst, Division on Addictions
Education: Master’s degree required. Ph.D. preferred. Three (+) years’ experience conducting empirical social science-related research.
Job description: A strong interest in the field of addictive behaviors and experience in healthcare research, particularly in an academic setting is preferred. Excellent data analysis, computer (software and hardware; programming and operations), and writing skills required. Experience with large datasets and data mining techniques an advantage. Outstanding customer relationship management and verbal communication skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft applications, SPSS and SAS required. Demonstrated ability to work both in a team environment and proven ability to function independently. Potential for Harvard faculty appointment in the future.
Data Analyst must have excellent attention to detail and a general understanding of research methodologies. Other responsibilities include: Assist faculty members in their addiction-related research. Perform data analysis on primary and secondary sources. Collaborate on research design and implementation using technologically based screening and data collection instruments, draft and edit manuscripts for publication in scholarly journals, establish and maintain research resource files, prepare substantive aspects of research grant proposals, especially literature and database searches and analyses. Participate in Division colloquium, conferences and CME courses; and manage research support staff. Organize applications for funding and institutional review boards.
